Why join?

Anyone can become a member of Legion Scotland. By joining you show your support for ex-service people across Scotland whether they completed their service yesterday or as part of theSecond World War. And you will be helping a caring organisation dedicated to aiding veterans to get on with their lives.

With your support we can continue providing advice, community and friendship to ex-servicemen and women and their families. Your support, be it financial or by giving your time, enables us to make a big difference. As a member you help us to fund remembrance, comradeship, and disablement pensions advice and welfare support.

Our members also have the opportunity to play an active part in the Legion’s work. You could be helping us organise remembrance events, fundraising or volunteering at one of our local branches. You can also take part in a diverse range of sports including competing inter-branch for a national trophy. We also run a number of music based competitions each year. And we will keep you posted with all our news through access to a free copy of Legion Scotland Today which we produce four times a year.you pay a membership rate for the charity overall plus the local rate.

The rate to join local branches differs by branch but the total cost including the annual membership fee is usually in the region of £13-30.  A small additional rate to join a local club applies.

When you join your local branch of  Legion Scotland, your membership also gives you the opportunity to visit other branches across Scotland. Indeed in many cases it also enables you to visit branches of equivalent organisations in countries such as the USA, Canada and Australia.
