Voices of Veterans Campaign

Members of the Royal Gurkha Rifles in combat Helmand Afghanistan

We need your stories!
If you or a close family member served in the Armed Forces we would love to hear from you. Whether you left the forces yesterday or 50 years ago. Your stories could be a part of our campaign to help commemorate World War One and pay tribute to all brave veterans who have served in conflicts past and present.

Legion Scotland's special campaign - Voices of Veterans - helps us preserve stories of Military life passed down through generations and create a lasting legacy for Scotland.  These stories might be a tale you remember being told from a much loved but now deceased grandfather about the First World War, but we are equally keen to collect stories and see your mementos of other conflicts from World War Two through to one of the twenty or so other campaigns that have taken place since 1945 including Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya.

We have also launched a new digital archieve in partnership with the Scottish Daily Record to immortalise sacrifices of our servicemen and women from across the decades and publish them in an online campaign as well as run them in the paper. Find out more about this here.

Have you got memories or an experience of military service you would like to share? Your stories could feature in the media around the Scotland. We will also feature Voices of Veterans stories and photographs here on our website.
