The Glasgow Phoenix Choir are to perfrom a gala concert in aid of the Royal British Legion Scotland and Poppyscotland with a very special guest, Isla St Clair, Honorary President of the Royal British Legion Scotland, Passchendaele Branch, Flanders.

This year celebrates 116 years of choral excellence – 66 years as the Glasgow Phoenix Choir and 50 years as the Glasgow Orpheus Choir.The choir performs over 20 concerts per year and each involves a range of music from choral standards to new music and, in addition, features many delightful solo performances by choir members.

Isla St Clair is known to millions for her numerous television appearances including The Royal Variety Show, The Morecambe and Wise Show, and most notably as co-host with Larry Grayson on the BBC's long running The Generation Game which won her `Best Female TV Personality'. Her television series The Song and the Story won the coveted European award `Prix Jeunesse'.

This memorable concert will also involve the Salvation Army West of Scotland Youth Band, The Mackintosh Choir and a Solo Piper & Dancers. It will be a night to remember.
