These days there may be fewer opportunities for you to get the latest information on Legion Scotland offline. Here’s how to make sure you stay connected from home.

 

1. Sign up to the membership bulletin

If you’re reading this, the likelihood is that you’ve already subscribed to the Legion Scotland bulletin. But it’s also quite likely you read something in a past email that a fellow veteran friend knew nothing about. The next time you see them, why not ask if they receive our bulletin – and if they don’t and are a member, tell them to get in touch with us. Email [email protected] for more information

 

2. Follow us on Facebook

Legion Scotland broadcasts live from many of our major events. So if you can’t be there in person, viewing online is a great way to still be a part of the action. We also share news and information regularly on Facebook that could be of interest, whether it’s about a branch’s new facilities or a new service offered by another veterans organisation. 3. Get your membership on Direct Debit

Branches are still responsible for the bulk of membership processing at Legion Scotland, but you can make sure you stay subscribed by setting up your membership payment via Direct Debit. This means you don’t need to worry about it expiring and missing out on our twice-yearly Legion Scotland Today magazine landing through your door. Get the form at https://www.legionscotland.org.uk/finance or call 0131 550 1548 – and don’t worry about the date as this can be activated at any point during the membership year.

 

4. Do you need more support?

If you are isolated, unable to get out and about, or just want to connect with more veterans locally, Legion Scotland’s Veterans Community Support Service is here to help. Volunteers around the country can offer support visits, link you up with other comradeship and wellbeing services, and much more.
