Latest News Roslin celebrates new defibrillator and shows support for Ukraine The branch approached the home construction company Taylor Wimpey East Scotland to discuss possible donations, and was delighted when Taylor Wimpey offered to provide them with a defibrillator. This is part of a joint initiative between the company and British Heart Foundation, in which Taylor Wimpey donates public access defibrillators to communities around the UK. If your branch is near a Taylor Wimpey development, it may be worth discussing the programme with them. Not only will the potentially life-saving device be available to members of the branch, it will also be added to the National Grid Network, meaning anyone who has an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest in the area can use it. Roslin branch Chairman Ian Denholm and Isobel Fraser, who made the initial approach to Taylor Wimpey, were among the members to officially receive the defibrillator in May. Meanwhile, Roslin’s War Memorial has also been decorated with knitted poppies. The colourful flowers, crafted by branch members, have been created in Legion Scotland’s colours while also showing support to Ukraine. The poppies can be seen draped on a hedge that surrounds the war memorial.
