Latest News Centenary Fundraising Initiative to raise money for Legion Scotland & Poppyscotland On the 18th of June 2021, we officially launched our centenary period. As part of the celebrations and commemorations planned for the period up to June 2022 we have commissioned a special Centenary Fundraising Coin. During the centenary year (in collaboration with Poppyscotland) we want to encourage everyone, young and old, members or not, ex-service or non ex-service to get involved in marking our hundredth birthday by fundraising for both organisations. Fundraising is a vital source of income for both organisations and more so now than ever before. Every £1 raised will help us continue into our next hundred years and to provide comradeship and welfare support for veterans across Scotland. Our first commemorative coin was presented recently to John Thompson of Livingston Branch who raised a fantastic total of £6,035 by walking 50 miles back in May this year. His next venture is a 1 mile swim for Poppyscotland. There are so many ways to fundraise, from a bake sale, to a sponsored walk, or something more adventurous such as a sky dive or abseiling. The possibilities are endless and we can't wait to hear all your fantastic ideas. How do I get involved? Download your entry form here Email your completed entry form to [email protected] On receipt of your entry form, we will get in touch to confirm your registration and provide further details on how to set up your JustGiving page and tips on fundraising and PR. All fundraisers will receive a certificate of appreciation and every individual who raises £300 or more will receive our specially commissioned centenary coin as a token of our appreciation. Groups who fundraise collectively will receive a certificate and framed coin.
