On 20 May, delegates from across the country will arrive in Perth for the Legion Scotland conference. While this is normally an annual event, due to the pandemic this year’s conference will be the first held since 2019. As a result, there is a packed agenda of addresses, votes and updates from across the organisation and beyond.

The two-day event is being hosted at the Dewars Centre in Perth. On the first day, delegates will have a chance to meet each other, attend the opening ceremony and hear from the Lord Lieutenant of Perth, the Provost of Perth & Kinross and Legion Scotland’s National President, National Chairman and CEO.

Awards and recognitions will also be handed out, and delegates will be asked to adopt the Annual Report and elect a National Treasurer.

On Saturday, those in attendance will hear the latest news from the Royal Canadian Legion, Poppyscotland and the Royal Commonwealth Ex-Service League, in addition to the results from the Standard Bearing competitions.

Full details of the programme, including timings, will be shared ahead of time. You can also keep up to date with the latest news on the conference event page.
