The service, conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury, represented a major moment in both British and world history.

Legion Scotland was proud and honoured to be included in the day’s events. As you may have seen if you were following the live coverage, representatives of the organisation attended as part of the guard of honour at Parliament Square.

Among the Legionnaires in position were our National Parade Marshal, our National Standard Bearer, and Area Standard Bearers. They were there alongside many other veterans and members of the Armed Forces community, and indeed the day was also a chance to uplift and celebrate charitable organisations from the UK and beyond.

We are also aware that many of our Branches across Scotland celebrated and honoured the coronation within their communities, as well as brought multiple communities together by multiple branches pulling together to offer a grand event. If your Branch or your community celebrated the coronation in your area please get in touch as we would very much like to hear from you as we put together a coronation article for the Magazine later this year.
