This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join a small team of area secretaries across Scotland to continue to support the great charitable work undertaken by Legion Scotland. 

As the Area Secretary, you are responsible to the Area Council, through the Area Chair and Trustees, for the efficient production of all the Area’s administrative support services and planning, liaising with associated branches, clubs, and other ex-service organisations as required.   You will assist branches and Club with day-to-day enquiries and administration and provide support where required for submitting returns to the Charitable Regulator (OSCR), including certified Annual Accounts.

You will also liaise with Head Office staff to ensure that information on behalf of the RBLS Trustees is distributed across the Area as and when required.

The role is part time, (15 hours a week), but will require flexibility depending on events and meetings scheduled, which are sometimes at in the evening and at weekends.  Whilst based at home there will also be a requirement to travel to various locations across the regional area, therefore a full driving license and personal, fully insured vehicle is required.

Salary £14000 PA
