Tony Hooman, a veteran himself, Legion member and Veterans Community Support Coordinator for Edinburgh Lothian & Borders sets off on Saturday the 14th of August to walk the West Highland way to raise money for Legion Scotland and Poppyscotland.

He is taking on a tremendous challenge doing this solo and even camping on the route (no hotels for Tony!)

He said "Walking the West Highland Way is something I have always wanted to do and this year give me the perfect opportunity to achieve this and raise funds for Legion Scotland & Poppy Scotland . This year is the 100th Anniversary of both these wonderful charities who help so many veterans and their families. I am a 69 year old veteran myself and will complete the 96 miles solo ,camping at the various campsites along the way starting on the 14 August 2021 finishing on 20 August 2021.

Tony has already raised over £1,200 pounds and also has a commitment from Morrisons to double the amount he raises.
