STRATHSPEY

Iain Norris

It is with deep regret that Strathspey branch announces the sudden death of their chairman, Iain Norris, who passed away on 22 November 2022.

Iain took over as chairman in 2018 and his leadership just before and during the Covid lockdowns helped steer the redevelopment of Strathspey’s club rooms. His efforts, along with those of many other loyal members, resulted in a club which is admired by all.

‘Upside down Iain’, as he regularly referred to himself because of his appearance, was a familiar sight in the clubrooms where he liked nothing more than a pint of Guinness, friendly banter, and finding out all the latest news. His presence will be much missed, and he will not be forgotten.

This photograph was taken of Iain at Remembrance Sunday just a few days before his passing. Strathspey branch’s sincere condolences are sent to his family and close friends.
