Agnes G Maxwell

Agnes died in June 2020 in her 95th year after a long and active life. She volunteered for active service in 1944 and joined the ATS. Seconded to the RAOC at Nesscliffe, by Shrewsbury, she worked in the office at the Central Ammunition Depot. She continued her athletics and soon became known as the ‘Flying Scot’! Demobbed in 1947 as Sergeant, she returned to Keith and married Gordon in 1952. She kept in touch with many of her ATS pals after the war. She was an avid watcher of the Festival of Remembrance and even attended the Edinburgh Military Tattoo.
